If you are tired of oversized classes with no individual attention, studios that focus on teaching a "dance" for the majority of the school year, 4 hour recitals, and mandatory fundraising then you may have found your answer.

- We teach the art of dance, and believe in Arts Education. -

Arts education teaches focus, dedication, determination, how to prioritize, how to collaborate with others, how to effectively express yourself.   All are required to be successful in life, work, play and relationships.  As parents this is all we could ever want for our children, is to be well rounded and happy.  

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of professional instruction in conjunction with creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere that will teach students how to simply enjoy dance and understand movement.  Our goal is to not only create beautiful, skilled dancers, but for our students to grow into adults with a strong sense of responsibility, independence and success in every aspect of life.

 - Do we train professional dancers? Yes.   

- Do the majority of our students become professional dancers? No. Why?

Because a career in dance is not suited for everyone. Did the most talented basketball player in your High School turn pro?  Probably not, but I am sure he/she is a successful individual outside the court.  Dance is exactly the same.  Our students have been highly successful in college and beyond.  In fact, many of our students have been highly successful in some of the most difficult pre-law and pre-med programs in the country.  

If you are looking for a school that looks at each student as an individual and tailors their schedule to their needs and believes that an arts education is something that follows you for your entire life then The Academy is the right choice for you.
