    Discovery & Pre-Ballet 1 & 2 (Ages 3.5-6 years)
    - The vocabulary covered in each level are all steps which a child of that age can master and helps to build their self-confidence. The vocabulary is also set up to prepare students for the next level. By the end of Pre-Ballet 2, the students can dance set work independent of the teacher, memorize simple exercises and sequences and make a start of musical interpretation. All the concepts of our Children's Division prepare the student for when they graduate to Beginner Ballet, Jazz 1 or Tap 1.

    Main Division

The Main Division offers classes to students of all ages who enjoy dance as an extracurricular activity.

Jazz & Hip Hop (Ages 7 and up)
    - What is the difference between Jazz and Hip Hop? Jazz style of dance is what is seen in many Broadway type shows such as "Cats". It is a more structured stage style of dance. Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type of dance seen in music videos and commercials. Dance moves seen in performance by artists such as Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and J Lo would be typical examples of Hip Hop.

    Tap (Ages 7 and up)
    - Tap requires a great deal of coordination and can be a challenging style of dance. Students younger than 7 can compromise their backs if they start in tap too young. Our beginner level tap classes are traditional tap technique. Ages 9 and older may participate in street tap which is a funky, hip-hop inspired style of tap.

    Ballet (Ages 12 and up)
    - Begins with the study of the positions of the feet and arms and fundamental movements at the barre and then in the center. In the center more complex movements, jumps and turns are introduced.

    Modern (Ages 10 - adult)
    - Modern dance technique is designed to develop the mind, body and spirit to be an expressive communicator through movement. Structured technical exercises that condition the body for strength, coordination and flexibility are developed. Physical activities which focus on the aspects of space, time, shape and movement dynamics are explored through individual work as well as group participation.

Musical Theatre (Ages 8 - adult)
    - All our adult classes are geared for beginning recreational students. Classes for more advanced adult students are listed on our schedules as intermediate. Adult classes are offered in ballet, jazz and hip hop.

This program is for students who desire a more concentrated training program or are considering a career in dance.

Beginner through to Level 7 (Ages 7 years & up)
    - Training is based on the Vaganova method (Russian) of training. Once proper strength and flexibility is developed the students are introduced to more complex movement combinations. After approximately 3-4 years of study in the intensive division, the student may be placed on pointe. Age and body development are both factors as to when a child is placed on pointe. Pointe work is an extension of previous classroom work and is taken in conjunction with technique classes. At level 4, enrichment classes are added to create a well rounded versatile dancer.

The Academy offers classes on a continuous basis unless otherwise specified. New students enrolling in Levels I and higher are asked to take placement class to ensure proper placement. All students who enroll are registered for one year which equals 36 weeks of classes. Classes are limited to no more than 16 students; Children's Division classes are limited to 12 students.

Academy tuition is set at affordable, competitive rates and is paid in monthly installments based on four (4) classes per month no matter how many weeks are in the month. A full year of tuition will equal 36 weeks of classes or 9 monthly payments. A $20 late fee will be added to all payments made after due dates. Failure to make payments in a timely manner may affect a student's right to attend class.

After proper placement, all students are required to purchase a specific colored leotard that designates class level. The Academy will provide all student uniforms for purchase through the in house boutique.

Our observation windows will be open for viewing for the first week of each month. Also, the Academy has formal "Parents Observation Week" where seating is available inside the studio during the first weeks of November and March.

Upon registration, all students and/or parents will receive a handbook which will include all Academy policies as well as information pertinent to the students' dance education. Vacation dates, school divisions, performance opportunities, dress code and classroom etiquette are also covered in the handbook.
